Mr. Kullberg has spent over thirty years in the marketing and marketing communications profession in New York and, most recently, in Rhode Island, with experience in a wide range of consumer, corporate, not-for-profit and business-to-business accounts.  His focus on media neutral, ROI driven programs is, in part, an outgrowth of majoring in accounting at the University of Rhode Island.  Within two years after graduation, he became the Controller of a major television production company.

Following that, he joined Ogilvy & Mather where, for eleven years, he handled advertising activities for such accounts as General Foods, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico/Rums of Puerto Rico, International Paper Company, the British Tourist Authority, Owens-Corning Fiberglas and KLM.

He then joined Wells Rich Greene and while there, as Senior Vice President and Partner, he supervised a number of consumer durable, retail and service accounts including:  Midas, Hush Puppies, Sunoco, Citibank/ Citicorp, Citizen Watch, Lancel,  J.C. Penney Financial Services, Fieldcrest, White Westinghouse and Ford Motor Company.

Subsequently opening his own agency, Mr. Kullberg directed marketing and advertising programs for AARP, Curtains & Home, Fairchild’s Travel Today magazine, Getty Petroleum Corp., GettyMart Convenience Stores, Lebenthal & Company, Mark Cross, The Center For Osteopathic Medicine, The Surgeons Guild, Tienshan, The Ryland Group, and The National Association For Hospital Development.

Gary established the Kullberg Consulting Group in 1994 in order to provide corporate management with intelligent, media neutral, and cost efficient solutions to their marketing and communications problems.  Clients include The American Skin Association, Educational Video Conferencing, Mellon Bank, Panolam Industries, Quaker Lace, Citizens Investment Management Services, LawStreet.com, The Salvation Army, and URI’s Alumni Association, among others.

Mr. Kullberg is an acknowledged authority on branding, corporate, business-to-business, not-for-profit and retail marketing communications.  He was instrumental in developing Ogilvy & Mather’s worldwide position on corporate and business-to-business advertising, and has been a guest lecturer on this, and other subjects, at various universities, trade associations and business conferences.

He has been selected to six different editions of Marquis Who’s Who, including Who’s Who In The World; served on the University of Rhode Island’s Business Advisory Council, the last six years as Vice Chairman; is a member of the Career Advisory Committee of the West Point Society of New York; was the Chairman of The Salvation Army’s Manhattan Advisory Board, 2004 – 06; is a member of The Salvation Army’s Greater New York Advisory Board and Co-Chairs its Marketing Communications Committee; in 2007, became President of the University of Rhode Island’s Alumni Association, as well as a member of the Executive Board of the University of Rhode Island Foundation.
